Florida State University wide receiver Duce Robinson has been named a first-team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators. Robinson, from Phoenix, is the ninth player in Florida State history to earn this distinction and the first since 2012.
Robinson holds a 3.82 GPA while pursuing a degree in social science. The Academic All-America program, established in 1952, recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.
On the field, Robinson was selected as a first-team All-ACC player and was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award after recording 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns during the 2025 season. He became Florida State’s first receiver to surpass 1,000 receiving yards since 2019, marking only the 14th such season in program history.
Robinson finished ninth nationally in receiving yards at the end of the regular season. His five games with at least 120 receiving yards were the most among Power Four conference receivers and second nationally. He also set a team benchmark not seen since 2014. Robinson averaged 19.30 yards per reception, which ranked second in the ACC behind teammate Micahi Danzy.
During eight ACC games in 2025, Robinson averaged more than 102 receiving yards per game—leading all players in the league by over twelve yards compared to his nearest competitor. In addition, he led the conference during the regular season with seventeen catches of at least twenty yards, twelve of thirty or more yards, and six of forty or more yards.
Robinson joins other Seminoles who have earned first-team Academic All-America honors: kicker Dustin Hopkins (2012), safety Chris Hope (2000 and 2001), linebacker Daryl Bush (1996 and 1997), linebacker Derrick Brooks (1994; inducted into CSC Hall of Fame in 2014), punter Rohn Stark (1981), defensive back Keith Jones (1979 and 1980), wide receiver Phil Williams (1979) and quarterback Gary Huff (1972).
