On Wednesday, March 26, former Trinity Catholic School standout Emma Kaylor’s current college team, the Charleston Golden Eagles, won 8-4 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.
The game took place at Lady Jackets Field. This was their second matchup against the Yellow Jackets this season.
The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 3 p.m. at Concord Softball Field against Concord Mountain Lions.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
