The Florida State beach volleyball team will hold its annual Garnet and Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, February 7, giving fans an early look at the 2026 squad. The event is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., and admission is free.

In the previous season, the Seminoles finished with a record of 27-13 and were ranked No. 8 nationally. Several players received recognition for their performances. Alexis Durish, Audrey Koenig, and Gella Andrew were chosen by USA Volleyball to join the 2025 Beach Collegiate National Team. Assistant coach Nick Lucena was also selected as one of three coaches for that team.

Carra Sassack earned the NCAA Elite 90 award for having the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site among all participants in one of the NCAA’s championships. Head coach Brooke Niles highlighted this achievement as part of her ongoing focus on academic performance. According to Niles, she has coached six CCSA Scholar-Athletes of the Year, 73 ACC Academic Honor recipients, and three Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship winners.

Durish and Koenig were named CCSA Co-Pair of the Year, while Andrew received Freshman of the Year honors. Bailey Higgins was included on the All-American Freshman Team. Niles herself received her third CCSA Coach of the Year award.

For the upcoming season, Florida State will face new opponents after moving to the Big 12 Conference. The conference championship is scheduled to be held in Tucson, Arizona in April.
