The Florida State University track and field teams will conclude their indoor regular season by participating in two separate meets this weekend. Athletes will compete at the Valentine Invite in Boston and the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina, with events beginning on Friday and wrapping up on Saturday.

Competition at Clemson is set to start at 11 a.m. Friday, while the Boston Valentine Invite begins later that afternoon at 4:20 p.m.

According to the latest USTFCCCA TFRI National Rankings, Florida State’s women’s team holds steady at No. 11 nationally. Several athletes are ranked among the top 16 in their respective events as they head into these final regular-season meets.

Shenese Walker leads the NCAA in the women’s 60-meter dash after setting both a program and ACC record of 7.09 seconds at the Razorback Invitational. “Walker was named the ACC Women’s Co-Performer of the Week after setting a new program and ACC record of 7.09 seconds.” The mark stands as not only an NCAA-leading time but also ranks fifth-fastest globally this season.

Kaelyaah Liburd, who has posted the seventh-fastest time nationally this year in the women’s 400 meters (51.68), will compete for her final regular-season appearance at Clemson’s Tiger Paw Invitational. Her time is both a school record and her second national record for the British Virgin Islands.

Distance runners Suus Altorf and Bieke Schipperen have each set notable times for Florida State this season. Altorf recently ran an 8:58.36 in the women’s 3,000 meters—fourth-fastest ever for FSU—while Schipperen achieved a personal best of 8:55.54 in that event, which is second all-time for FSU women. Schipperen also helped set a school relay mark; “Schipperen also contributed to the Distance Medley Relay team that holds the second-fastest time in school history and is currently ranked fifth in the nation this season at 10:55.58.”

On the men’s side, Micahi Danzy is scheduled to debut individually in the men’s 400 meters after previously running with a relay team that posted one of FSU’s fastest-ever times earlier this season.

– Aniol Borras set a personal best of 4:00.40 in the men’s mile run, now sixth-fastest all-time for FSU.
– Freshman Rylee Blade debuted on FSU’s all-time list with her performance in the women’s 3,000 meters.
– Braeden Ofosu-Kwarteng tied for tenth-fastest ever at FSU with his men’s 400 meter run.
– Kyvon Tatham placed fifth overall in men’s triple jump with a personal best.
