Florida State women’s basketball hosts Georgia Tech following win over SMU

Florida State University’s women’s basketball team will return to Tallahassee to face Georgia Tech on Sunday at 4 p.m. The game will take place at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.

The Seminoles currently have a record of 7-13 overall and are 2-6 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while Georgia Tech stands at 8-12 overall and 3-5 in the conference. Florida State leads the all-time series against Georgia Tech with a record of 33 wins to 25 and has won the last six matchups between the two teams.

Six players on Florida State’s roster are averaging at least eight points per game this season. Sole Williams is leading the team with an average of 14.8 points per game. As a group, Florida State leads the ACC in three-point field goals made per game, averaging 8.6. The team hit a total of twelve three-point shots, marking their fourth game this season with twelve or more threes made.

Pania Davis contributed significantly by recording her third double-double of the season with fourteen rebounds and thirteen points against SMU. Florida State collected fifty-six rebounds during that contest, which is their highest rebound total against an ACC opponent this year and marks their fourth time grabbing fifty or more rebounds in a single game this season.
