On Friday, March 21, former Wakulla High School standout Caroline Barwick’s current college team, the Saint Leo Lions, won 11-3 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Florida Tech Panthers.
The game took place at Nancy Bottge Field. This was their first matchup against the Tech Panthers this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 12 p.m. at Nancy Bottge Field against Florida Tech Panthers.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
