Florida State University junior forward Jordynn Dudley has signed with Gotham FC, the reigning champions of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), according to an announcement made by the club.

Dudley joins Gotham FC after a successful collegiate career at Florida State, where she contributed to two national championships and three ACC titles over three years. She was named an All-American in each of her seasons and received the Honda Sport Award for Soccer this season.

Several other Florida State players have also signed professional contracts this offseason following the team’s fifth NCAA championship win in December. These include Heather Gilchrist (Bay FC), Yuna McCormack (Denver Summit), Mimi Van Zanten (San Diego Wave), Taylor Suarez (Angel City FC), Solai Washington (Orlando Pride), Evan O’Steen (Seattle Reign), and Giana Riley, who joined Club América in Liga MX Femenil.

“I am so excited to join a championship-caliber organization like Gotham FC with a history of success,” Dudley said to Gotham. “I know this environment will push my development every day, and I can’t wait to compete alongside this incredible team. Thank you to Yael Averbuch West, Juan Carlos Amorós and everyone at Gotham for this opportunity. Let’s go Gotham!”

FSU head coach Brian Pensky commented on Dudley’s move: “Congrats to Jordynn. She is such a special talent who certainly left her mark on this program and college soccer as a whole. We’re excited to watch Jordynn as she takes this next step in her career. She will be a star!”

At Gotham FC, Dudley will play alongside former Seminole Jaelin Howell, another two-time national champion and Honda Sport Award winner during her time at Florida State.

During her junior season, Dudley was recognized as a First Team All-American, Best XI First Team honoree, and finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy. She became the first player in program history to earn three career All-America honors with two being First Team selections. Additionally, she is only the fourth player from FSU to be named an All-American three times and the first to achieve it within her initial three seasons.

A native of Milton, Georgia, Dudley earned All-Region First Team and First Team All-ACC honors every year at FSU. Over 59 games with 57 starts as a forward, she accumulated 34 goals and 34 assists for 102 points across nearly 3,800 minutes played. Ten of those goals were game-winners.

In Florida State’s record books, Dudley ranks tied for second in assists (34), third in multi-goal games (8), fourth in points (102), fifth in goals (34), eighth in shots taken (198), and tied for tenth in game-winning goals (10).

In her most recent season, Dudley led FSU with 14 assists, 36 points, and 88 shots while ranking second on the team with 11 goals and three game-winning goals. Her performance included multiple braces and five games where she recorded at least three points.

Nationally last year, Dudley ranked sixth in assists per game (0.64) and fifth in total assists (14). Within conference play, she led the ACC in both assists and shots while finishing second in points.

Dudley’s international experience includes five appearances—two as a starter—and two goals for Team USA at the 2024 U-20 World Cup.
