“Today was a great learning experience for all of our girls,” said head coach Amy Bond. “The wind blew at about 25-30 today in a different direction than yesterday. We have to learn how to handle the weather on any given day. That’s what we’ll take from this day – the opportunity to learn and get better. We are thankful for another day on this course, and we are going to be better tomorrow than we were today.”
Sophia Fullbrook joins Nakatani among Florida State’s top performers, tying for 30th place with consistent rounds of 74 for a total score of 148. She has scored par or better on 31 out of her first 36 holes.
Layla Pedrique carded another round of four-over-par (76), placing her in a tie for 62nd with an overall score of 152 after two rounds.
Freya Russell, competing as an individual, is also tied for 30th after posting scores of 73 and 75 (totaling 148). Russell finished strong in her second round with two birdies over her final eight holes.
Florida State will play alongside Louisville and South Carolina during Wednesday’s final round, which begins at 9:00 a.m.
