The HCA Florida Capital Hospital Cancer Center has added new technology in the fight against cancer for our patients.
Currently, we are the only facility in Tallahassee with this state-of-the-art, $3.3 million-dollar radiotherapy system. This system is designed to treat cancer wherever it’s found in the body.
The benefits of this state-of-the-art technology are flexible treatment options that provide a variety of treatment techniques to address a broad range of cancers, with the patient in mind. Further enhancements include dose control with millimeter accuracy, streamlined treatments, and built-in patient safety features that allow clinicians to navigate the complexities of cancer care.
Dr. Timothy Bolek, radiation oncologist says, “Our new radiotherapy system enhances the ability to deliver state-of-the-art radiation treatments to our patients and meet the cancer needs of the community.”
