From March 21, 2023 post.
Introducing St. John's Historical Society (SJHS)! The group recently met for the first time with the goal of preserving and promoting nearly 200 years of St. John's Episcopal Church history. Initial projects include gathering individual church histories from members and updating our parish walking tour brochure for use by parishioners and visitors. The SJHS will represent our parish at Tallahassee Historical Society events and the upcoming TCC History Festival. A longer term goal will be to add the last 40 years to "God Willing," our book of St. John's Episcopal Church history, first published in 1984. Meanwhile, we will also be working on content to add to the history page on our church website.
If you enjoy researching and writing, or want to learn more about the SJHS, contact Junior Warden Stephen Peters (majorpeters@msn.com).
