At its August 23, 2023, meeting, the City Commission voted to initiate a charter review process with a charter review committee (CRC) to be appointed and charged with bringing recommendations to the City Commission. At its subsequent meeting on September 13, 2023, the City Commission directed staff to provide (1) public education on the Charter and (2) an opportunity for public input. An education session was conducted by the City Attorney on September 27, 2023, in a meeting that was open to the public and recorded. On that same date, a survey was presented on Talgov.com to gather public input. Citizens who wish to provide feedback or offer suggestions are encouraged to complete the charter review survey at City Charter Review Survey. Citizens may also see a copy of the current city charter or watch a video of last week's education session.
