Congressman Neal Dunn (Florida-02) expressed his satisfaction today as his bill, H.R. 1199, the Facilitate Innovative Nuclear Diagnostics (FIND) Act, received favorable advancement from the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. The FIND Act proposes to align Medicare reimbursement for radiopharmaceutical diagnostics with their actual value. This adjustment is expected to increase access to screenings, thus avoiding inaccurate treatment.

"When we avoid unnecessary and inappropriate treatment due to inaccurate scans, Medicare saves money. More importantly, when a physician can obtain an accurate diagnosis, we can achieve the best outcome for patients," Congressman Dunn stated. He added that throughout his career in medicine, he has observed how delayed or inaccurate screening can impact patients and their families negatively.

The FIND Act aims to increase access to life-saving scans while empowering doctors and patients with the ability to determine the correct diagnosis early. "I’m thrilled that my bill has passed the Subcommittee and look forward to expanding access to these potentially life-saving scans," said Congressman Dunn.
