On Wednesday, April 16, former Wakulla High School standout Caroline Barwick’s current college team, the Saint Leo Lions, won 9-7 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Flagler Saints.
The game took place at Flagler Field. This was their second matchup against the Saints this season.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 6 p.m. at Spanish River Athletic Park against Lynn Fighting Knights.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
