On Sunday, April 13, former Wakulla High School standout Colby Zinser’s current college team, the LaGrange Panthers, won 5-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Piedmont Lions.
The game took place at Loudermilk Field. This was their third matchup against the Lions this season.
The Panthers’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at Scotland Yard against Maryville Scots.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
