Leon County Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 11.
On the first day back In Class, Mrs. Sims' 5th grade Gilchrist Elementary students listen carefully to safety instructions before heading out for their first recess. Mrs. Sims is part of a safety crew at Gilchrist that helped develop step-by-step procedures for students to follow to help ensure their health and safety both inside, and outside of the classroom.
From all of us at LCS, we wish everyone a great, first day of school! We are so happy to have you back #inclass.
