WHERE: Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, 505 W. Pensacola Street
The successful Leon Works Expo will return on Friday, April 22 at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. Hosted by Leon County Government and the Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality, the Expo connects employers and academic institutions to hundreds of students, creating opportunities to explore careers in the skilled workforce.
Looking to bridge the skilled jobs gap, the County’s Leon Works Expo exposes students to careers after high school introducing them to skilled careers in the areas of Health, Trade, Business & IT, Creative, and more. This event helps local employers develop their talent pipeline and meet with future workforce.
Exhibitors may customize their booths and deliver materials to students that demonstrate what their organization has to offer in the skilled career space. In addition, the Expo will feature an outdoor demonstration area, giving exhibitors space for larger demonstration items, such as trucks, vehicles and other equipment.
The Leon Works Expo has been held since 2015, with the latest event occurring online and reaching more than 1,300 students digitally. The event will be held in accordance with public health guidance. The deadline for exhibitor registration is Friday, March 25. Early bird registration costs begin at $50 and will increase soon. Space is limited.
