Special Event Co-Sponsorship Application Period Now Open

Open1

City of Tallahassee issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.

Organizing a community event and planning to seek support from the City of Tallahassee? Any special event that is open to the public with no admission or ticket fee that is being held on City-owned or managed property is invited to apply for co-sponsorship.

Applications for events occurring during Fiscal Years 2023 and 2024 (Oct. 1, 2022 through Sept. 30, 2024) will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 18. Applications are available via Talgov.com and must be submitted via email to Jennifer.Carter@Talgov.com. Organizations with new events and those previously co-sponsored by the City will need to submit a Special Event Co-Sponsorship Application.

The Special Event Co-Sponsorship Application provides a consistent method for organizations to request in-kind services for special events from the City. The Special Events Advisory Committee will review the applications and make recommendations to the Tallahassee City Commission, which decides the events that receive co-sponsorship from the City and at what level of in-kind services.

The special events that are recommended for co-sponsorship will still need to obtain the required Special Event Permit.
