It’s Women’s History Month – a time to celebrate great women at the Tallahassee Police Department

Police

It’s Women’s History Month – a time to celebrate great women at the Tallahassee Police Department and a chance to introduce you to another instrumental Watch Commander in our Patrol Bureau.

Facebook family, meet Lieutenant Robin Abney. She oversees our rotation one Patrol Midnight Shift – ensuring directed patrols, crime scenes and staffing run smoothly in the dead of night while motivating and teaching her sergeants to reach their full potential as leaders.

“I love working the road and have served as a Watch Commander for a year and a half now. The camaraderie that I have with fellow Watch Commanders is always fun, but what I enjoy the most is helping my sergeants be the best supervisors they can be. Helping them reach their full potential as leaders also helps the officers that they supervise to be their best. When I’m not working, I enjoy coaching travel fastpitch softball, going to sporting events, and attending fastpitch softball camps.”

Thank you, Lieutenant Abney, for your leadership and service!
