Join the City of Tallahassee at the site of the future Southside Transit Center (corner of Meridian Street and Orange Avenue) on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to learn more about this exciting addition coming to the community.
Construction of a Southside Transit Center is a strategic initiative of the City to ensure public transportation is accessible, efficient and equitable. Conceptual design plans for the Southside Transit Center are currently at 30 percent.
To ensure the facility meets the current and future needs of the community, StarMetro, the City’s public transportation system, is conducting significant outreach to residents and riders about this milestone project. Since fall, StarMetro has participated in more than 20 meetings to engage stakeholders.
At the event on March 26, attendees can learn more about StarMetro and the future Southside Transit Center. Feedback collected from this event will help refine the design plan.
A local DJ will keep energy high at the event, and various community information tables will help residents connect with available resources. Lunch will be available for purchase from a local barbeque provider.
Jump on the Big Bend, Live Oak or Moss bus routes to arrive in style. Otherwise, parking will be available at the Signature Lounge (242 Orange Ave.) or Greater Love Church (524 Orange Ave).
