Leon Ready: Hurricane Season Kickoff and Preparedness

Hurricane

June 1 marks the starts of the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season. For the seventh consecutive year, NOAA is forecasting an above-average hurricane season with 14 to 21 named storms.

To help citizens be prepared for disasters, the County released the 2022 Disaster Survival Guide and launched the Leon Ready webpage, a hub of resources to help individuals, their family, and their neighborhood prepare for disasters. Throughout hurricane season, the County will continue to share preparedness tips and resources across social media to help develop a prepared and resilient community. Learn more at LeonReady.com.

Pick up a copy of the Disaster Survival Guide at your nearest Leon County Public Library location.
