Leon County Schools (LCS) is proud to announce the five finalists for the 2022 - 2023 Glenn-Howell Distinguished Educator of the Year

Leon County Schools (LCS) is proud to announce the five finalists for the 2022 - 2023 Glenn-Howell Distinguished Educator of the Year:

 • Jasmine Y. Sailor, Bond Elementary School

 • Leola E. Ware, J. Michael Conley Elementary School at SouthWood

 • Randy Baez, DeSoto Trail Elementary School

 • Kim Sims, Fort Braden K-8 School

 • Tracy D. Nash, Pineview Elementary School

A review  committee comprised of school and district based educators selected the finalists from a field of 35 candidates. The finalists were chosen based on reviews of 'redacted applications' (no names or schools on them) from LCS school level Glenn-Howell Distinguished Educator of the Year nominees.  The next step for the finalists will be an interview process with the selection committee on Thursday, October 27, 2022. The 2022 - 2023 Glenn-Howell Distinguished Educator of the Year will be surprised at their school on Friday, October 28, 2022.
