On 03-06-2023 at approximately 1814 hours, deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff's Office Patrol division were dispatched to a residence on CR 2089, Liberty, Texas in reference to a disturbance. The female suspect was identified as Megan Owen, W/F, DOB: 01-09-1993. The report was that she was having a mental health crisis. Owen was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia that is used in the use and consumption of methamphetamine. Owen advised one of the deputies that she had methamphetamine in her right shoe. The deputy removed the shoe and found a small plastic bag that contained the suspected methamphetamine.
Owen was booked into the Liberty County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – State Jail Felony.
