Congressman Dunn Votes in Favor of Over 15 Million Dollars for Florida’s Second Congressional District

Congressman Neal Dunn of Florida's Second Congressional District expressed his satisfaction with the passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, stating, "This continuing appropriations package is a win for Florida’s Second Congressional District. This package includes over 15 MILLION dollars for projects throughout our district."

In his statement, Congressman Dunn highlighted the various benefits that the appropriations package will bring to the district, including funding for veterans' healthcare, quality housing upgrades, and child development centers. He emphasized the redirection of funds from the Department of Defense's administrative budget to medical research and VA facilities, as well as investments in agriculture research and infrastructure.

The congressman also highlighted specific projects that will receive funding in Florida's Second Congressional District:

- Choctawhatchee Bay and River Basin Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration study - $500,000

- Apron Infrastructure Development, 54J, DeFuniak Springs, FL – Phase 2 of Runway 9-27 Expansion - $1,100,000

- Panama City Beach Potable Water Redundancy Improvements – Phase 1 - $5,000,000

- Campbellton Essential Fire Services Equipment - $287,000

- Endeavor Forward, Inc. - $1,500,000

- Midway Police Department Facility - $750,000

- TLH Terminal Apron Rehabilitation - $2,700,000

- Monticello Water Line Replacement Project - $350,000

- Fords Arm Restoration - $800,000

- Second Harvest of the Big Bend Impact Center and Capacity Project - $3,000,000

These projects cover a range of areas including infrastructure development, water supply improvements, fire services equipment, and programs benefiting individuals on the autism spectrum, among others. Congressman Dunn's support for these initiatives reflects his commitment to the well-being of his constituents, Florida farmers, and veterans in the Second Congressional District.
