Congressman Neal Dunn announces military service academy day for students

Congressman Neal Dunn, M.D., representing Florida's Second Congressional District, has announced the organization of a United States Military Service Academy Day. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2025, and will take place in Leon and Bay counties.

The event is aimed at high school and eighth-grade students who are considering attending a military service academy. Congressman Dunn has extended invitations to representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, as well as the Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and Naval Academies. Attendees will have the chance to meet with Cadets, Midshipmen, ROTC staff, and parents of current and past cadets. Additionally, the academy nomination process will be explained during these sessions.

Dr. Dunn stated that this day presents "an excellent opportunity for high school students to explore these outstanding higher education choices." No RSVP is required for attendance.

In Leon County, the session will occur from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET at Tallahassee City Hall located at 300 South Adams Drive in Tallahassee. In Bay County, it will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT at Gulf Coast State College Student Union situated at 5230 US-98 in Panama City.
